Friends of the Library
Have you ever been interested in joining the Friends of the Minneota Library?
The Friends of the Library is a group of volunteers who believe the public library is a valuable part of the community. This organization has focused its efforts on providing funding to improve the library for everyone who uses the library.
We have a list of many projects that we would like to complete in the future to continue to keep the library up to date and functioning for the community. Most recently we have been able to put an elevator into the library to make the opera hall (the second floor of The Big Store) accessible for everyone!
Our group meets on the second Monday of most months. Participation in this group includes volunteering your time at meetings and fundraising events, making baked goods, and reaching out to promote events.
There are no dues required for this group because of the success of our fundraising events!
If you are interested, feel free to join us at our next meeting. Call Carolyn Bot at 605-350-1636, or send an email to carolynbot@hotmail.com.
Monetary Donations to the Friends of the Library are welcome and help with cost of programs and future purchases of books and materials.
